Well. I’m about ready for my feed to look like spring, so I guess I should finish posting fall! So many gorgeous families, even their pups!

Throwback to some of the homestead lifestyle sessions I did last year and fingers crossed that I have lots of interest in these this year! Home is my favorite place to be and if it’s yours too, then I’d love to capture it. No animals or gardens needed! We can do bubbles or chalk or just twirling in the sunshine. Capture your home. Capture your love. Freeze these moments.

Apparently I needed a social media break….. after being pretty regular about posting for a few months, without really thinking about it, I didn’t post. I spent sometime planning, ordering and evaluating what I want my work this year to look like and reflect.

My word I have selected is genuine. I want to create connections this year more than just in the moment images, but a photo that takes you back to a place in time. Spring is almost here and I’m so excited to make some beautiful memories with you all!

I’ll always love a detail shot. Those images bring you back to their tininess in those first days.

It took a while for fall to get here this year, but once it did, I enjoyed the glowing golden leaves as much as ever. My favorite season is still spring though…. Eagerly anticipating new leaves on trees here in a couple months!

This look.
The one a mother gives her baby when words the words “I love you” fall short.
A love so deep it feels like your heart might melt right out of your chest
soft and overwhelming all at once.

It’s the kind of love you can almost reach out and touch,
the kind that lives in the quiet spaces between breaths.
The kind that makes time slow down, if only for a moment, just so you can feel it a little longer.

This is why I photograph motherhood.
Because these moments don’t stay still,
but they deserve to be remembered

I think this was the biggest mini proof gallery I’ve ever delivered. Seriously. All the moments were so genuine.

That’s my goal with every session. Is to set you up in a way that makes you feel comfortable enough to lean into genuine moments, joy and laughter. I want the photos we create to be more than just an image of the people we love, but transport you to the moments and feelings.

I always get an everyone looking and smiling photo, but this one is where the real smiles happen. Babies giggle, moms laugh because the baby is happy, and dads smile because everyone else is happy.

The weather in Texas this time of year keeps us guessing. After having no rain in the radar, and then showing storms to the north, it started to rain during this session. I’m so thankful this family was willing to dodge a few raindrops, then wait it out in the car as the rain picked up 🤣 and then pickup where we left off after it left just as fast as it came. The results were worth it I think! Year 8?? For this family I think! Love y’all every year! 🤗

Everyone at my Wimberly minis was such a trooper. With an unexpected pop up shower and the sun changing drastically every 5 minutes, everyone was so good at going with the flow. I’m so glad because this was the first weekend it was starting to look like fall and everyone’s gallery is gorgeous!!

Last night @thegildedglasshouse was beautiful from start to finish. The light changed throughout the time, giving every session a little bit different look and chance to use the different little vignettes the owner set up. Sweetness and magic. I hope that everyone who came out last night enjoyed kicking off the holiday season at the greenhouse. I know I can’t wait to go back!!
